MISC is a contemporary art gallery founded in 2021, Athens, Greece. Originating from a background in photography and printmaking, it has since evolved into a platform for research-based, multidisciplinary practices that explore identity, borders, gender, materiality, and transformation. MISC collaborates with both emerging and established artists through exhibitions, residencies, and long-term projects, supporting artistic development from concept to production.

In addition to its curatorial program, MISC operates an
in-house publishing arm, producing artist books and critical editions, and hosts artist residencies that promote dialogue, experimentation, and site-responsive practices. It also maintains a public library of photography and art books, serving as a research and engagement resource for artists, students, and the wider public.

Education is central to MISC’s mission. Through public programs, workshops, talks, and collaborative learning formats, the space hosts critical conversations and builds connections between artists and audiences. With a focus on photography, video, sound, installation, and print-based media, MISC is committed to nurturing inclusive and process-driven approaches to contemporary art.
