The Limited Edition 12" vinyl emerges as the sonic counterpart to the photobook "The Buzzer", through a collaboration between producer Pedro Augusto and photographer Miguel Proença, centered on the reimagining of a sound archive.
The compositions trace the geographic and psychological terrain of the photographs, weaving together field recordings, voices, and signals from a mysterious shortwave radio, long believed to be of Russian military origin, into a landscape of memory and uncertainty.
Composed and produced by Pedro Augusto
Recordings from UVB-76 1989-2020
Additional strings on track A1 by Henrique Fernandes

Miguel Proença (1963) is a Lisbon, Portugal born photographer. Currently based in Portugal (about Lisbon and Tavira) where he works and studies in photography and agricultural systems. The photography work is frequently initiated from a documentary/ reportage standpoint and undergoes an “estrangement” process. The result frequently touches on formalist and surrealist aesthetics, informed by disciplines other than photography. These include painting, sculpture, video, sound and music in a collaborative approach to the creative process.
Pedro Augusto works as an artist and composer in the fields of dance, theatre, performance, and cinema. He has an extensive discography as a producer, sound engineer, and editor, contributing to several Portuguese music albums over the past decade. He is responsible for the Found Tapes Porto archive, the musical project Live Low, and the publishing label ETAK. In recent years, he has focused his work on artistic curation and literary editing, exploring themes of mobile music, serendipity, and walking. He teaches sound studies at FBAUP and IPCA.
