LALUG Poster Series

The idea for this series was based on various quotes, from interviews with Iraqis (available in an audio installation in the gallery during the exhibition), and the pattern on the fabrics (which was part of the installation in the gallery during the exhibition) that Howland collected during her stay there.

The posters were displaced on the streets of Athens for 4 months. Each 'quote' out of context can take on different interpretations. The series consists of 20 handmade silkscreen posters.
